Having A Break

CLA acknowledge and respect the role of carers. In order to support you in your caring role we offer support for your family member either in home or in an alternate venue so you can rest and recuperate.

It is important that you are comfortable with the support provided and one of our Coordinators can meet with you to develop the best option for you and your family member.

CLA can help you to establish a Host Family respite option if this is your preference. Host Families can provide respite on a regular or ad hoc bases and CLA can assist you to find the right match and ensure your needs are met.

Shared Living and Life Skills Connect

CLA recognise that sometimes people choose to live together and receive support to live independently in the community. You may choose to live with another person with a disability who you already know and have a friendship with or we can help matching you with like-minded people who wish to share a home.
