Our Chill Out Saturday social space continues thanks to a generous grant from Rio Tinto.
The program offered by Community Living Association (CLA) aims to provide opportunities for unsupported people with disability to engage in social activities in a safe, welcoming and accessible space.
Participants who lack opportunities to take part in social activities on weekends will benefit from the Chill Out Saturday community
program, especially youth with disability who have very limited opportunities around town.
Rio Tinto Regional Community Specialist Elyse Borlini said, “Chill Out Weekends is a fantastic initiative by Community Living Association Albany that promotes inclusive, meaningful activities for people with disabilities.”
“Rio Tinto is proud to support this local program which focuses on improving the well-being of people living in regional communities.”
Chill Out Saturdays will be held from 6-9pm at CLA Centre for Excellence. To attend participants must be confirmed by completing an expression of interest form and submitting it to CLA reception.
For further information or to get an expression of interest form can visit the CLA website mycla.org.au or contact Community Development Officer, Claudia Simpson on 9842 3855.
Due to capacity ratios, spaces are limited and pre booking is essential. A COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate is
required, in line with the Public Health Order issued by the Western Australian Government.
Program Eligibility: Confirmed unsupported participants over 18 years who have a Disability Support Pension
(DSP) card.
