Improving health outcomes through cooking and nutrition. 

Community Living Association (CLA) has been successful in acquiring a $5,000 Healthway grant to deliver a cooking and nutrition skill development program for participants with disability. 

Food plays a significant role in keeping us healthy. CLA has identified the importance of providing opportunities for people with disability in our region to learn and develop skills that will positively impact on their health and wellbeing.

CLA CEO, Russell Nelson said the ‘Simply Food’ program has been specifically designed to assist people with disability gain a better understanding of healthy food options and to build their confidence to plan and cook simple healthy meals independently.

Our Simply Food program is set to commence in August.
