Community Calendar Access Request

1 Responsibility for event information

• Each organisation is responsible for the accuracy, quality and currency of all information it submits to the Community Calendar.
• This includes event dates, times, locations, costs, accessibility information, contact details and any other relevant content.
• CLA is not responsible for errors, omissions, cancellations, changes to events, or for any loss, inconvenience or damage that may arise from information submitted by another organisation.

2 Responsibility for events and activities

• Each organisation remains solely responsible for the planning, delivery, safety, insurance, supervision and conduct of its own events and activities.
• Listing an event on the Community Calendar does not mean that CLA endorses, manages, approves, funds, supervises or otherwise accepts responsibility for the event.
• Organisations must ensure they have appropriate permissions, risk management arrangements, safeguarding practices and insurances in place for their activities.

3 Appropriate content

The Community Calendar is intended for genuine community events, activities, programs or initiatives. Organisations must not submit content that is:

• unlawful, misleading, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or abusive
• threatening, harassing or harmful
• inappropriate for a general community audience
• promotional spam or unrelated commercial advertising
• in breach of copyright, privacy or any other legal obligation

4 Respectful use

• The Community Calendar must be used respectfully and in good faith.
• Access must not be misused or shared, or used to alter, remove or interfere with another organisation’s event information.

5 Privacy and permissions

• Organisations must not publish personal information, images or identifying details of any person without appropriate consent.
• Where events involve children, young people, people with disability or other potentially vulnerable community members, organisations must take particular care to ensure information is appropriate and consents are obtained where required.

6 CLA’s right to moderate content

• CLA may edit, remove or decline to publish any calendar entry at its discretion, particularly where content is inaccurate, inappropriate, unlawful, unsafe, unrelated to the calendar’s purpose, or inconsistent with these Terms.
• CLA may also remove or withdraw calendar access from any organisation that misuses the service. This includes editing event details to align with formatting guidelines.

7 Availability

• CLA will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to the Community Calendar but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from technical issues.

8 Acceptance of these Terms

• By submitting a request via the Community Calendar webform, the organisation confirms that it has read and agrees to these Terms of Use and that the person submitting this request is authorised to act on behalf of the organisation.

9 Use of information

• Information submitted through this form will be used by CLA to assess and manage access to the Community Calendar. Contact details may be used for communication regarding calendar access and content management.
