Chill out Weekends is the latest community program by Community Living Association (CLA). The program aims to provide opportunities for people with disability to engage in social activities in a safe welcoming space during Friday and Saturday evenings. The program is possible thanks to funding support from Australia Post Community Grants, YACWA WA and Lotterywest.
Chill Out Weekends will be held every Friday and Saturday from 6-9pm at CLA Centre for Excellence during November and December. To attend participants must be confirmed by completing an expression of interest form and submitting it to CLA reception.
This program has been developed for unsupported participants who lack opportunities to take part in social activities on weekends, especially youth with disability who have very limited opportunities around town. CLA staff will facilitate the event and ensure the safety of all attendees.
Our expression of interest form can be downloaded here or by contacting Community Development Officer, Claudia Simpson on 9842 3855.
Due to capacity ratios, spaces are limited and pre booking is essential.
Program Eligibility: Confirmed unsupported participants over 18 years who have a Disability Support Pension (DSP) card.
